TO: Prospective Buyers and Guests: Welcome to the seventh Southeast Missouri Show-Me-Select Fall Calving Replacement Heifer Sale. The first Fall Calving Sale averaged $1050, the second averaged $1110, the third $1118, the fourth $1071, the fifth averaged $1397 and the sixth, May 2005, 238 head averaged $1515. There are 230 heifers in this sale with 185 black, 6 red, 8 RWF, 1 White and 4 gray. The Black heifers include 10 Registered Angus and 20 Purebred Angus. The Red White Face include 8 Registered Polled Herefords and the Red includes 5 Registered Red Angus and 1 Purebred Red Angus that could receive registration papers. There are also 3 Registered % Simmental. There are 154 A.I. bred heifers in the sale with 60 being bred to SAF Directive and 50 to SAF Connection. There are also 10 Connection daughters and 6 SAF Focus J30 daughters bred to Directive. They are mostly synchronized using the CIDR Lutalase Protocol. There are some top proven genetics in the sale. As in the last fall sale all heifers have known birth dates and parentage and several herds have 6 to 7 generations of stacked pedigrees. A few herds have carcass data from U.S. Premium Beef on the steer mates. All heifers' due dates are September 1 to November 29th. All sires have all available growth EPD's listed and scrotal and carcass EPD's where available. As you can see the EPD's are tremendous. The natural sires EPD's are about as good as you will find. Accuracy is also listed. Remember the higher the accuracy towards .99 the more reliable the offspring will be. Thanks for attending the Sale, or just studying the catalog. If you have questions feel free to call me 573-243-3581, look at our website: semobeef.com, or call the consignor at the number listed. Sincerely,
Roger Eakins
