All are A.I. bred to Bon View New Design 878, the Angus breed leader in number of progeny registered in 2003. He has outstanding EPD's for both growth and carcass, with an UltraSound Rib Eye Area EPD of +.55. All heifers that are called A.I. bred were pregnancy checked safe to the A.I. date.

The steer mates to these heifers are marketed through US Premium Beef with a high percent grading Choice and Prime harvested at about 15 months of age.

This select group of commercial females is from the heart of the Circle A commercial herd. They are straight bred Angus females. Known for their growth and carcass performance, all of these females have in-herd EPD's available. No other commercial females in the U.S. have EPD's available.

Over the past 11 years, Circle A Ranch has contributed more growth and carcass records to the American Angus Association than any other breeder. More than 20,000 growth and 11,000 carcass records have been collected to date. We have fed all our steers, including the steer mates to these females. Last years data shows over 90% have graded choice or higher and 40-50% will qualify for Certified Angus Beef at a time when the national acceptance rate averages 17% for CAB.

All females have been vaccinated, tested and free of BLV, Anaplasmosis, BVD, Neospora, Johne's and are fescue adapted.

They were synchronized and A.I. bred to Basin Rainmaker 747L , a curve bender with negative birth EPD and yearling weight in the top 10% of the breed. His calves come small and explode! The natural service sire was Basin Ambush 843L, an excellent carcass sire who retains strong milk and growth EPDs.

Heifers have known birth dates and sires for generations. Bulls and semen used in the herd all have excellent EPD's for low birth weight, high weaning and yearling weight plus great carcass merit. Forty-six steer mates of these heifers were fed on the farm and marketed to U.S. Premium Beef where they graded 12% Prime, 42% Choice CAB or FAB, 32% Choice, and 14% Select. The steers were all marketed with an average age of less than 14 months.

The majority of these heifers are A.I. sired by GAR Presestined and Rito 6I6 of 4B20 6807. The natural sires are from sons of Choice Plus, Scotch Cap 1483 and Butch's Maximum 3130. A group of black w/face are from registered Polled Hereford cows and a son of SAF Fame.

Predestined is in the top one percent for $B (beef value) and top two percent of $G (grid value). Rito 6I6 ranks in the top 10 percent in calving ease maternal and the top two percent for $W (weaned calf value). His progeny have an unbeatable temperament.

The A.I. service sire for all of these heifers is SAF Directive. Directive sires low birth weight calves with exceptional growth and carcass quality.

The natural service sires are Cicle A New Design 1088 and Sydgen Connection 3537. The natural service sires have traits similar to the A.I. sire.

Herd mates to these heifers were fed at Pratt Feeders in Kansas and Brent Lorimor's in Iowa with 90% grading choice or above. 35 Predestined (to date) have graded Choice or Prime.
