Medicine, Missouri Cattlemen's Association and Missouri Department
of Agriculture.
All heifers having met minimum standards for reproductive soundness,
pelvic size, body condition and weight. They have also undergone a
comprehensive health program, and were guaranteed bred to easy calving
bulls, with most synchronized and artificially bred. These heifers
were expected for the most part to calve from late January thru the
middle of April 2004, with projected calving dates given for each lot
of heifers. The offering was screened for blemishes, muscle, frame,
body condition score (BCS), and disposition by a final screening
committee, comprised of official graders from the Missouri Dept of
Agriculture and USDA, then sorted into lots according to calving dates
and body type similarity where permissible. Supply made up mainly of
Medium and Large and Large 1-2’s. Majority of these heifers (99% percent)
were black and black baldies. Demand moderate with several spectators in
attendance. Sale average price of the 65 lots was 1085.00 dollars per head.

stage 1050.00-1200.00; Large 1-2 1040-1180 lbs 2nd and 3rd stage
1050.00-1170.00, lot reputation fancy 1090 lbs 1225.00; Large 2
1000-1115 lbs 1025.00-1110.00; Medium and Large 1 980-1140 lbs 2nd and
3rd stage 1060.00-1150.00; Medium and Large 1-2 950-1175 lbs 2nd and
3rd stage 1000.00-1175.00, couple lots Registered Angus 1020-1075 lbs
2nd and 3rd stage 1250.00-1275.00; Medium and Large 2 few 915-990 lbs
2nd stage 800.00-850.00, pkg Registered 990 lbs 2nd stage 1025.00;
Medium 1 925-985 lbs 2nd and 3rd stage 1010.00-1100.00; Medium 1-2
few 895-1015 lbs 2nd and 3rd stage 910.00-950.00, pkg Registered
