West Central Missouri Show-Me Select Replacement Heifer Sale

Medicine, Missouri Cattlemen's Association and Missouri Department
of Agriculture.
Heifers in the sale have met minimum standards for reproductive
soundness, pelvic size, frame size, muscle thickness, body condition,
and weight. They have also undergone a comprehensive health program,
and are guaranteed bred. Many were artificially bred. All heifers
are expected to calve from late January thru the end of April, with
projected dates given for each lot of heifers. Offering consisted
of mostly black and black white face heifers with a few red and red
white face heifers scattered throughout. Heifers were sorted into
lots according to calving dates and body type similarity. A near
capacity crowd attended the sale with a lot of interest. However,
demand was moderate to light, with potential buyers showing
conservatism, as that region of the state has had little rain over
the last several months, with reports of producers in the area,
feeding hay and hoping their water supply will hold out until the
spring rains have a chance to refill the ponds.

fancy 1032-1238 lbs 1035.00-1150.00; Medium and Large 2, 947-1068 lbs,
