Northeast Missouri Show-Me-Select Replacement Heifer Sale

Receipts: 340 bred heifers

Coordinated by University of Missouri Extension, University of
Missouri Commercial Agriculture Program, MU College of Veterinary
Medicine, Missouri Cattlemen's Association and Missouri Department
of Agriculture.

Heifers in the sale have met minimum standards for reproductive
soundness, pelvic size, body condition and weight. They have also
undergone a comprehensive health program, and are guaranteed bred
to easy calving bulls.  Many were artificially bred.  All heifers
are expected to calve from January 24 thru May 1, 2000, with
projected dates given for each lot of heifers. Offering consisted
of mostly black and black white face heifers which were sorted into
uniform lots according to calving dates and body type similarity.

Sale Average for bred Heifers: 961.00 per head

Bred Heifers: 
Large 1
  -  1100-1300 lbs 1070.00-1475.00 per head

  -  1000-1150 lbs 860.00-1010.00 per head

Medium and Large 1
  -  850-1000 lbs 775.00-890.00 per head
