West Central Missouri Show-Me Select Replacement Heifer Sale
Kingsville- Kingsville Livestock Auction 11/27/99
Receipts: 324 bred heifers
Coordinated by UMC Extension, Commercial Ag Program, MU College of
Veterinary Medicine, MO Cattlemen's Assoc. and MO Dept of Agriculture
Heifers in the sale had met minimum standards for reproductive soundness,
pelvic size, body condition and weight. They have also undergone a
comprehensive health program. and are guaranteed bred. Many were bred
artificially to leading calving ease bulls in there respective breeds
and most to calf from February 6 thru April 28, 2000. Offering was
primarily black and black white face, with several Red Angus and few
Polled Hereford cross heifers included. Heifers were graded and sorted
into uniform lots according to projected calving dates and body type
similarity.
Sale Average for bred Heifers: 836.00 per head
Medium and Large 1 Red Angus and Polled Hereford 955-1455 lbs
1000.00-1200.00 per head
Medium and Large 1 Mostly Angus and Angus cross 865-1300 lbs
710.00-975.00 per head.
