Ivy, English or Baltic

Phyllosticta leaf spot (fungus) Dark leaf spots with concentric rings of expanding infection. Generally most apparent in the spring. New growth will obscure damage. Mancozeb can be used if serious.

Bacterial leaf spot/blight (bacterium) Light-green water-soaked spots turn brown or black, frequently with reddish margin. Prune surrounding trees and shrubs to increase air circulation. If necessary, some copper fungicides and fosetyl-al are labeled for this use.

University Outreach and Extension does not endorse commercial products. Follow the label on all pesticides.
