Mizzou Founders Day Event and Greene County
Extension Annual Meeting in Springfield on Feb. 11


SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Mizzou alumni and supporters along with friends of Greene County MU Extension and interested members of the public are invited to attend the first Mizzou Founders Day and Greene County Extension Annual Meeting Dinner starting at 6 p.m. on Feb. 11 at Relics Event Center, 2015 Battlefield Road, Springfield, Mo.

Reservations are required for the event (due to limited seating) and can be made for up to two people per house online at extension.missouri.edu/greene. Those without online access can also call (417) 881-8909. Registration is needed no later than Feb. 8.

The evening's celebration will include guest speakers, Mizzou updates, a silent auction and more! This special event is in partnership with MU Extension, the Mizzou Alumni Association and Mizzou Athletics.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, this event is free of charge.

Guest Speakers will include Dr. Marshall Stewart, Vice Chancellor for Extension and Engagement; Todd McCubbin, director of alumni and a special guest from Mizzou Athletics.

Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller will also swear in new members of the Greene County Extension Council, two extension partners will be recognized with the "Leaders Honor Roll" award and 4-H member Lauren Waterman will speak about the impact of 4-H on her life.

The University of Missouri was founded February 11, 1839 by the Geyer Act. This year we are celebrating the 180th birthday of Mizzou, of which MU Extension is a part.
