Remaining Healthy and Strong as We Age Focus
of Senior Adult Program in Monett and Aurora

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - A program designed to help senior adults exercise their brain, build strength, improve balance, increase flexibility, and get active and healthy will be offered in Monett and Aurora by University of Missouri Extension starting in January.

Renette Wardlow, a field specialist in human development for MU Extension, will be the instructor for these classes.

"Join your friends and learn ways to take care of your mind and body. This is an opportunity to do something for ourselves to improve our mind and body," said Wardlow.

The Senior Centers in Monett and Aurora will host these classes to help senior adults remain independent longer.

All classes will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m.

Classes in Monett will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays (Jan. 22, 24, 29 and 31; Feb. 4, 6, 18, 20, 25 and 27; March 4, 6, and 11).

Classes in Aurora will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays (Jan. 7, 9, 14, 21, 23, 28 and 30; Feb. 5, 7, 19, 21, 26 and 28; March 5, 7, 12, 14, 18 and 21).

For more information, call Teresa at 417-235-3285 for Monett classes or 417-678-5383 for Aurora classes.
