MU Extension Cattle Seminars Planned in Southcentral Missouri for Jan. 22 and Jan. 23


GAINSVILLE, Mo. - Two well-known and respected University of Missouri Extension cattle experts will be traveling to southcentral Missouri and conduct three separate programs in Gainesville, West Plains and Mountain Grove on Jan. 22-23.

Dr. Eric Bailey, state beef cattle nutritionist with MU Extension, will present information on stretching dwindling hay supplies.

Dr. Craig Payne, MU Extension veterinarian, will address issues associated with anaplasmosis problems in beef herds a year after the institution of the veterinary feed directive controlling antibiotic use in animal feeds.

Advanced registration is necessary.

Programs are planned for the following dates and locations:

  • Gainesville: 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22 at the Ozark County Extension Office, 526 3rd St, Gainesville. Register by calling 417-679-3525 or email ozarkco@missouri.edu.
