Lawrence County Horticulture Twilight Tour
Sept. 12 Visits Two Farms Near Mt. Vernon

MT. VERNON, Mo. - The annual University of Missouri Extension "Horticulture Twilight Tour" in Lawrence County begins at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12 and will visit two farms.

The tour begins at London Farm and Gardens, 18505 Highway FF in Aurora. London Farm is located on 20 acres between Aurora and Mount Vernon. London Farm and Gardens grows a variety of vegetables, cut flowers and plants.

The second stop on the tour is Box Turtle Farm, 17679 Lawrence 2090, Mount Vernon. Box Turtle Farm has a new high tunnel for winter vegetable production.

Those planning to attend should meet at the first stop by 5:30 p.m. Attendees will then caravan as a group to the second farm. Each stop is 30 to 45 minutes including a farm tour by the farm owners and MU Extension specialists.
