2018 Regional Grazing School Douglas and Ozark Counties


GAINESVILLE, Mo -The 2018 Regional Grazing School, for livestock producers interested in improving their grass resources for their grazing animals, will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, June 18, Tuesday, June 19 and Wednesday, June 20 at the Douglas County Sale Barn in Squires.

A registration fee of $175 for a single person and $75 FOR additional people from the same farm or family needs to be paid by June 11. Participants will receive a comprehensive reference notebook, lunch for three days, and refreshments.

Enrollment is limited, so prompt registration suggested.

The purpose is to help farmers better use their forage and improve their livestock operations, through better grazing management. Classroom sessions and farm tours will be used to demonstrate the principles and variations of designing a grazing system.

This is an approved grazing school for cost share programs offered by your local Soil and Water Conservation District.

This program is sponsored and presented by University of Missouri Extension of Douglas and Ozark counties, USDA-NRCS and Douglas and Ozark County Soil and Water Districts.
