Leading off the program is Dr. Scott Brown, livestock marketing specialist with University of Missouri Extension, and his discussion of the beef cattle outlook. Brown has become a favorite of the planning committee and returns for the fifth consecutive year.

Mike Deering, Executive Vice-President of the Missouri Cattlemen's Association in Columbia, will provide a review of the MCA actions and hot topics coming out of Jefferson City.

Supper will be chili blended together from 20 or more Southwest Missouri Cattlemen's favorite recipes. During the break, visitors will have a chance to register for door prizes offered by the trade show exhibitors.

Presentations begin again at 6:45 with Dr. Sara Place, Senior Director of Sustainable Beef Production Research for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, Denver. Her topic is, "Beef Sustainability - What Does That Really Mean?"

Wrapping up the conference is Jackie Moore, owner of the Joplin Regional Stockyards, Carthage. Moore will explain what he sees as an auctioneer and market owner that large or small cow-calf producers need to do to be competitive when they are marketing their cattle.
