Spring Gardening Workshop in Branson March 4
GALENA, Mo. The Master Gardeners of the Ozarks will host their 14th Annual Spring Gardening Workshop, 8 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4 at Faith Lutheran Church, 221 Malone Street in Branson.
The goal of the workshop is to help homeowners looking for tips to improve their landscapes and gardening skills.
This program will feature qualified and informative speakers who will discuss the topics of tips and tricks to maximize home vegetable gardens, incorporating permaculture into your garden, plant disease diagnostics and understanding the monarch butterfly.
"This year the workshop will also feature a speaker who will discuss exercises for the gardener to prevent injury." said Tim Schnakenberg, agronomy specialist, University of Missouri Extension.
"This program has grown in popularity and has become a Branson tradition for gardeners throughout the region," said Jeannie Manis, master gardener, and program chair. "Nearly 220 people attended last year's event. Several vendors will be on site and will be set up to offer plants and horticulture-related merchandise to the public."
A registration fee will be charged to cover the cost of the workshop and lunch. Contact the Stone County University of Missouri Extension Center at (417) 357-6812 for more information and to pre-register. Seating is limited so pre-register soon.
