MU Extension Collecting Input on Programs at Regional
Breakfast Meetings in West Plains, Neosho, and Ozark

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - University of Missouri Extension is hosting multiple "community conversations" to collect the insights and opinions of Missourians about needed and meaningful, educational programs. The input at these meetings will be used to help chart the future direction of MU Extension programs.

"We want to know what residents of southwest Missouri see as the major challenges and issues facing individuals, families, businesses and communities across our state," said Jay Chism, Southwest Region director, University of Missouri Extension.

Attend the community conversation closest to you: March 1, 7:30 to 11 a.m. at the Civic Center in West Plains; March 7, 7:30 to 11 a.m. at the Civic Center in Neosho; or March 10, 7:30 to 11 a.m. at the Community Center in Ozark.

MU Extension will provide breakfast at each location. Seating is limited, and individuals are asked to sign up at least five days in advance of the event to help with meal preparation.

Registration can be done online at http://bit.ly/SWCommConv or by visiting the Greene County Extension website at http://extension.missouri.edu/greene. Individuals having trouble registering online can contact the MU Conference Office at 573-882-4349.

"These local forums will be a way for community members to connect, talk about future challenges and opportunities, and tell us how MU Extension can better serve you," said Chism.

MU Extension programs focus on the high-priority needs of Missourians to improve lives, communities, and economies by providing relevant, responsive and reliable educational solutions. Each county extension center, with oversight by locally elected and appointed citizens, is your local link to practical education on almost anything.
