Synthetic auxin herbicide training set for Feb. 28 in Portageville

PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. - An additional in-person training on synthetic auxin herbicides (dicamba and 2,4-D products) has been set for Feb. 28 in Portageville, says University of Missouri Extension weed scientist Kevin Bradley.

The Missouri Department of Agriculture requires certified applicators to complete online or in-person training before buying or using dicamba. MDA designated MU Extension as the sole source for dicamba training. Only certified applicators may purchase or apply approved dicamba products. Visit agriculture.mo.gov/dicamba to learn more about Missouri's requirements.

The Portageville session is 9-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, in Rone Hall at the MU Fisher Delta Research Center's Lee Farm, County Road 308 at State Highway TT. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $30 and advance registration is required. Seating is limited.
