MU Extension hay school set for Oct. 11 in Fulton


FULTON, Mo. - Hay producers can learn how to grow forage and harvest quality hay at University of Missouri Extension's Hay School in Fulton. The event is 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at 54 Country restaurant.

MU Extension specialists will tell farmers how to make better hay more economically, says livestock specialist Anita Ellis.

Topics include soil testing and fertility, forages, weeds and insects, hay testing, harvest, storage and feeding. Farmers also can learn how to improve profits and reduce costs when selling hay.
