Synthetic auxin herbicide training set for Feb. 28 in Portageville

PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. - An additional in-person training on synthetic auxin herbicides (dicamba and 2,4-D products) has been set for Feb. 28 in Portageville, says University of Missouri Extension weed scientist Kevin Bradley.

The Missouri Department of Agriculture requires certified applicators to complete online or in-person training before buying or using dicamba. MDA designated MU Extension as the sole source for dicamba training. Only certified applicators may purchase or apply approved dicamba products. Visit to learn more about Missouri's requirements.

The Portageville session is 9-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, in Rone Hall at the MU Fisher Delta Research Center's Lee Farm, County Road 308 at State Highway TT. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $30 and advance registration is required. Seating is limited.
