MU Extension offers free event
on weeds, nutrients and more

MOBERLY, Mo. - University of Missouri Extension specialists headline the 2017 Randolph County Soils and Crop Conference.

The free event is 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at the Carpenter Street Baptist Church in Moberly, says MU Extension agronomist Dhruba Dhakal.

MU Extension state weed specialist Kevin Bradley, state forage specialist Craig Roberts and state nutrient management specialist John Lory give updates on how to improve crops, pastures and soils. Lory also tells how farmers can participate in the Missouri Strip Trial Program.

The event is free, but lunch reservations are needed. Call the MU Extension Center in Randolph County at 660-269-9656 for preregistration.

Ricketts Farm Service of Cairo, Orscheln Farm and Home of Moberly, Green Hills Veterinary Clinic of Moberly, Harpster Equipment of Moberly and Randolph County Soil and Water Conservation District sponsor the event.
