MU Extension offers free event
on weeds, nutrients and more

BRUNSWICK, Mo. - University of Missouri Extension specialists headline the 2017 Chariton County Soils and Crop Conference.

The free event is set for 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Brunswick, says MU Extension agronomist Dhruba Dhakal.

MU Extension state weed specialist Kevin Bradley talks on weed management in row crops and pasturelands. State grain specialist Greg Luce talks about the benefits of cover crops. State nutrient management specialist John Lory gives an update on how to participate in the Missouri Strip Trial Program. He also offers information on nutrient management in row crops and pasturelands.

Register for the event by calling the MU Extension Center in Chariton County at 660-288-3239 or emailing by Feb. 8. The event is free, but lunch registrations are needed.
