ENDICOTT, FROM THE CASS CAREER CENTER FFA CHAPTER, RECOGNIZED AS AREA 7 STAR IN AGRIBUSINESS

 

COLUMBIA, Mo., April 16, 2009 - The Missouri FFA Association named Ethan Endicott of Harrisonville, Mo., a member of the Cass Career Center FFA Chapter, as Area 7 Star in Agribusiness at the 81st Missouri FFA Convention. His parents are Dan and Renee Endicott. His advisors are Jason Dieckhoff and Clint Johnson.

 

Area Star in Agribusiness is based on outstanding agribusiness activities as part of the student’s Supervised Agricultural Experience Program and FFA leadership activities. Area 7 covers 20 chapters in the Central District.

 

MFA Inc., Columbia, sponsors the Area Star in Agribusiness awards.

 

Endicott’s SAE program began with his University of Missouri Extension 4-H project: Boer goats. During his sophomore year, he sold his Boer goats and started his own hay business. He bales hay for many neighbors and also works for his family’s electrical business.

Endicott has competed in the entomology career development event. He has attended the Greenhand Motivational Conference and has been an active member of the Cass Career Center FFA trapshooting team, competing at the local, district and state levels.

 

Endicott is a member of the National Honor Society and the Harrisonville High School Royal Regiment Band. He also is involved with PRIDE, Harmony, DECA and student council, serving as student president.

 

After high school, Endicott plans to study biology. He would like to become a doctor in a rural community.

 

The Missouri FFA has 24,410 members representing 317 chapters. The national organization has over 507,000 members representing 7,439 local chapters in 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands .
