Shari Brunner of the Centralia FFA Chapter Named State FFA Vice President

COLUMBIA , Mo., April 16, 2008 – Shari Brunner of Centralia, Mo., has been selected the 2009-2010 Area 4 State FFA Vice President. Brunner is a member of the Centralia FFA Chapter. Her advisors are Lori Lewis and Scott Stone.

 

Brunner’s FFA Supervised Agricultural Experience Program consists of a purebred Duroc swine operation, a registered Angus beef operation and a forage production operation.

 

Brunner served as chapter reporter and secretary and as the Area 4 second vice president.

 

Brunner has participated in the state FFA Poultry Career Development Event (CDE). She also has participated in Public Speaking Division I and Farm Business Management CDEs on the district level.

 

 

Brunner has been awarded outstanding freshman, high fruit salesperson, State FFA Camp leadership award, numerous area proficiency awards and grand champion red-clover hay at the Missouri State Fair.

 

Brunner plans to attend a community college and eventually transfer to the University of Missouri.

 

The Missouri FFA has 24,410 members representing 317 chapters. The national organization has over 507,000 members representing 7,439 local chapters in 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands .
