Paige Jenkins of the Pleasant Hope FFA Chapter Named State FFA Vice President
COLUMBIA , Mo., April 16, 2008 – Paige Jenkins of Bolivar, Mo., has been named the 2009-2010 Area 10 State FFA Vice President. Paige is a member of the Pleasant Hope FFA Chapter. Her advisor is Mary Anne Keck and Jeff Voris.
Jenkins served her chapter as both president and secretary and is first vice president of the Area 10 FFA Association. She also participated in the Missouri Agribusiness Academy.
Jenkins received a gold rating for advanced public speaking and has competed in the State Meats Evaluation, Agronomy, Farm Business Management and Public Speaking Career Development Events and received group 1 ratings in all of them.
She is the president of the Pleasant Hope speech and debate team and the secretary of National Honor Society. Jenkins is a member of athletic lettermen, Future Teachers of America and editor of the yearbook. She was a member of her high school softball team and was a basketball team manager for four years.
Jenkins plans to attend Missouri State University and peruse a degree in agricultural communications.
The Missouri FFA has 24,410 members representing 317 chapters. The national organization has more than 507,000 members representing 7,439 local chapters in 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands .
