Hall places sixth in Missouri FFA Creed Speaking contest COLUMBIA , Mo. , April 17, 2009 – The Missouri FFA Association awarded Kindra Hall of McDonald Co FFA chapter, sixth place in the Missouri FFA Creed Speaking contest at the 81st Missouri FFA Convention. Mitchell is a member of the McDonald Co. FFA chapter. Her advisors are Brian Nelson, Robert Hall and Will Gordon. Sixteen individuals from six districts were selected to compete at the state level. MFA Inc. sponsors the challenge requiring contestants to recite the FFA creed. Speakers are then asked to answer a series of questions based on their interpretation of the creed. A panel of judges determines each participant’s score. FFA members gain self-confidence, presentation skills, poise and sharpen their ability to think quickly as they participate in the activity. The Missouri FFA has 24,410 members representing 317 chapters. The national organization has more than 507,000 members representing 7,439 local chapters in 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands .
