Tyler Dietzschold State Winner 2009 Missouri FFA Ag Mechanics Energy Systems Entrepreneurship and Placement Proficiency Award

COLUMBIA , Mo., April 16, 2009 –Tyler Dietzschold of the Chillicothe FFA chapter, Chillicothe, Mo., was named the state winner of the FFA Agricultural Mechanics Energy Systems Entrepreneurship and Placement Proficiency Award at the 81st Missouri FFA Convention.

 

Dietzschold, a senior at Grand River Tech School, is the son of Keith and Linda Dietzschold. His FFA advisors are Rusty Black, Keith Dietzschold, Jim Grozinger and Leda Schreiner.

 

As an FFA member, Dietzschold has participated in numerous activities at the state and national levels. These activities included the Washington Leadership Conference, the National FFA convention, and the State FFA Leadership Camp. He was also involved in the Missouri Pork Institute.

 

Dietzschold’s agriculture mechanics Supervised Agricultural Experience Program includes two different positions; one of his jobs allows him to work with the electrical industry, while the other deals with fresh and waste water. He started working with the Solomon Corporation during the summer of 2006. Here he tested the transformers at Farmers Electric Cooperative and some other local energy suppliers. Then, in 2007 he started working for Cunningham Plumbing where he was responsible for taking and organizing inventory, loading job trailers and recently he began with the help of bidding different jobs. He now has an understanding of the types of pipe, fitting, inventory control and the digging operations that are needed for different types of fresh and waste water installations.

 

Dietzschold’s future plans are to attend Pittsburgh State University in Pittsburgh, Ks. and studying Manufacturing Engineering Technology.

 

Proficiency awards recognize FFA members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers while gaining hands-on career experience. Agricultural Mechanics Energy Systems is one of 47 proficiency awards presented at state level. Ahrens Steel and Welding Supply of Columbia, Mo., sponsored this award.

 

The Missouri FFA has 24,410 members representing 317 chapters. The national organization had over 507,000 members representing 7,439 local chapters in 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands .
