Elizabeth Crane of the Troy FFA Chapter Named State FFA Vice President

COLUMBIA , Mo., April 16, 2009 – Elizabeth Crane, of Troy, Mo., has been elected 2009-2010 Area 5 State FFA Vice President. She is a member of the Troy FFA Chapter. Her advisors are Allen Harrell, Doyle Justus, Matt McCrory and Rob Calvin.

 

Crane’s FFA Supervised Agricultural Experience Program consists of swine and beef production entrepreneurship, agricultural production placement and home and/or community development.

 

Crane served as chapter president and assistant reporter. She also served as reporter of the Area 5 FFA Association.

 

Crane participated in the FFA Knowledge Career Development Event (CDE) receiving first at the national level. She also participated in the Division II Public Speaking CDE placing sixth at state level and participated on the third-place parliamentary procedure team.

 

Crane is the executive vice president of student council and a three-year member of National Honor Society. She is a five-year member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and has served as the Area 5 second vice president and reporter. Crane was a member of Spring Creek 4-H for six years. She is a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and youth group and was selected as a Lincoln County Sherriff’s Department DARE Camp Counselor.

 

Crane plans on attending the University of Missouri where she plans to study agricultural education and agricultural journalism.

 

The Missouri FFA has 24,410 members representing 317 chapters. The national organization has more than 500,000 members representing 7,439 local chapters in 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands .
