Troy FFA Parliamentary Procedure Team Wins State Contest
COLUMBIA , Mo., April 17, 2009 – The Troy FFA Chapter placed first in the Missouri FFA Parliamentary Procedure Career Development Event at the 81st Missouri FFA Convention.
The winning team members are Chairman Austin Carroll, Abbie Belk, Lauren Bartlett, Lily Braungardt, Kristin Fallert, Scott Ogelsby, Joshalyn Unser, alternate and Kevin Young, alternate. The Troy FFA advisors are Alan Harrell, Doyle Justus, Matt McCroy and Rob Calvin.
The Parliamentary Procedure Career Development Event, sponsored by Grand River Technical School, consists of both a written test and a team demonstration that tests the team’s knowledge of parliamentary law based on Robert’s Rules of Order.
The Missouri FFA has 24,410 members representing 317 chapters. The national organization has more than 507,000 members representing 7,439 local chapters in 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands .
