Campbell from Aurora Named Area 11 Star in Placement

COLUMBIA , Mo. , April 16, 2008 – The Missouri FFA Association recognized Allison Campbell, of the Aurora FFA Chapter, as the Area 11 Star in Placement at the 81st Missouri FFA Convention. Her parents are Jeffry Campbell and Kelli Martin of Aurora, Mo. Her advisors are Jim Spencer and Craig Grisham.

 

Area Stars in Placement are selected based upon outstanding achievement in work experience in an agriculture business as part of a student’s Supervised Agricultural Experience Program and active participation in FFA. Area 11 covers 16 chapters in the Southwest District.

 

MFA Inc., Columbia, sponsors the 16 Area Star in Placement Awards.

 

Campbell ’s Supervised Agriculture Experience began when she started working for Sonic. As time progressed, she became an assistant manager. She is in charge of shift changes, ordering supplies and monitoring employees while on duty.

 

Campbell has served as reporter, chaplain, and parliamentarian at the chapter level. Campbell placed third at the district dairy cattle contest and received group 1 rating at state. She was on a state qualifying agronomy team and floriculture team. Campbell was also a member of the reserve state champion grassland evaluation team. She places second in food science and has attended the Washington Leadership Conference. 

 

Campbell has been a member of the FBLA and Literary club. She’s served as the Lawrence County 4-H secretary

 

Campbell plans to attend Crowder college, pursuing a degree in Agriculture Business.

 

The Missouri FFA has 24,410 members representing 317 chapters. The national organization has more than 507,000 members representing 7,439 local chapters in 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands .
