Photo available at: http://agebb.missouri.edu/news/moffaconv/ProfWin/pics/IMG_3820.JPG Matthew Gnuschke Receives Second Place 2009 Missouri FFA Home and/or Community Development Entrepreneurship and Placement Proficiency Award COLUMBIA , Mo., April 16, 2009 – Matthew Gnuschke, of the Windsor FFA Chapter, Windsor, Mo., received the second place FFA Home and/or Community Development Entrepreneurship and Placement Award at the 81st Missouri FFA Convention. Gnuschke, a senior at Windsor High School, is the son of Kevin and Melody Gnuschke. His FFA advisor is Kevin Gnuschke. As an FFA member, Gnuschke received the national FFA triangle award and fruit production proficiency award in 2007. He attended the 2007 National FFA Convention and the 2006-2008 State FFA Convention. Outside FFA, Gnuschke is a Windsor Review Newspaper contributor editor and WHS academic letter recipient in 2006-2008. He is a First Baptist Church member. Over the past three years Gnuschke has written over 225 different articles in The Windsor Review. In 2007, he secured a job creating web pages for a local business. In 2008, he constructed the Windsor FFA chapter’s web pages. Proficiency awards recognize FFA members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers while gaining hands-on career experience. Home and/or community development entrepreneurship and placement is one of 47 proficiency awards presented at the state level. The Missouri Agribusiness Association, of Jefferson City, Mo. sponsored this award. The Missouri FFA has 24,410 members representing 317 chapters. The national organization has more than 507,000 members representing 7,439 local chapters in 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands .
