Van Far FFA Knowledge Team Places Sixth at State Competition
COLUMBIA , Mo. , April 17, 2009 - The Van Far FFA Chapter claimed sixth place in the FFA Knowledge Career Development Event at the 81st Missouri FFA Convention. There were 52 teams in the competition.
Van Far team members are Jessie Fowler, Kasey Gatson, Jinnife Harrower and Rahel Nelson. Gatson ranked third, Fowler ranked 20th, Nelson ranked 78th and Harrower ranked 113th out of 204 individuals.
The Van Far advisor is Rex Moore.
The knowledge teams spend numerous hours studying for the 100-question test covering FFA history and information on the National FFA Organization.
Sponsored by the Missouri FFA Association, this contest is one of many ways the FFA prepares student members for career success. Career development events engage student learning and make a real connection to lifetime goals.
