Amanda L. Schebaum of the Hermann FFA Chapter Named State FFA Vice President

COLUMBIA , Mo., April 16, 2009 – Amanda L. Schebaum, Hermann, Mo., has been selected the 2009-2010 Area 14 State FFA Vice President. Schebaum is a member of the Hermann FFA Chapter. Her advisors are Lisa Grosse and Tracy Vedder.

Schebaum’s FFA Supervised Agricultural Experience Program consists of her work at Rhineland Grain and on her family farm.

Schebaum is serving as the Area 14 chaplain and the Hermann chapter vice president. She also served as chapter assistant vice president and State FFA Camp reporter.

Schebaum participated in the Missouri Institute of Cooperatives public speaking contest and Missouri Farm Bureau public speaking contest. Mandy was a member of the Hermann Dairy Cattle Career Development Event team. She also participated on the state-qualifying parliamentary procedure team.

Schebaum is a member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society and the Hermann High School speech team and drama team. She is a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church Youth group.

Schebaum plans to attend the University of Missouri where she will pursue a degree in Agricultural Education or Agricultural Business.

The Missouri FFA has 24,137 members representing 311 chapters. The national organization has more than 500,000 members representing 7,358 local chapters in 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands .
