Forck named Friend of Extension by Epsilon Sigma Phi

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mike "PeeWee" Forck, Cole County Eastern District commission, received the Friend of Extension Award from the Alpha Tau chapter of Epsilon Sigma Phi.

The award acknowledges his longtime support of University of Missouri Extension in Cole County. From 1990 through 2006, Forck served on the Cole County Extension council, first as an elected member and later as the county commission representative. During his time on the council, he held a number of positions, including council chair in 1992 and 1993, personnel committee chair from 2000 to 2006 and youth farm safety day chair from 2003 to 2006.

As co-chair of the building committee, Forck played a key role in raising funds and securing loans to build the extension office on Tanner Bridge Road in Jefferson City. A dedicated fundraiser, Forck's ongoing commitment allowed the extension council to pay off its building loans 10 years early.

Thanks to Forck's dedication, area residents benefit from high-quality programs that enhance their quality of life and bolster the region's economy.
