more cows and 1.3% more milk production per cow.
Milk production in the top 23 states was up 2.8% in May
2006 compared to May 2005, based upon 1.6% more cows and
a 1.3% increase in milk production per cow.
In Missouri, milk production was down 3.4% in May 2006 compared
to May 2005, based upon 2.5% fewer cows, and a decrease in
milk production per cow of 1.3%. |
