Dr. Scott Poock joins the Dairy Focus Team The Commercial Agriculture Dairy Focus team at the University of Missouri is excited to welcome Dr. Scott Poock as our new extension dairy veterinarian on the team. Dr. Poock has filled the position formally held by Dr. Richard Randle, who joined Monsanto Dairy Business last year as a technical service specialist. Dr. Poock was born and has lived in Wisconsin for the majority of his life. He was in the first class to graduate from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. He practiced at the Birnamwood Veterinary Clinic (in Birnamwood, Wisconsin) for almost 19 years. His primary work was with dairy farms but also did a majority of the beef work that the practice had. He is board certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in both beef and dairy cattle practice. Scott has a wife (Angie) and three daughters, Melanie, Maria, and Katy.
