MILCX Program -sign up is open now!

The MILC program has been renewed. It is now called the MILCX Program. Sign-up is open now. The local FSA offices will begin payments as soon as their software and funding arrive. See the MILC Fact Sheet

If you plan to produce less than 2.4 million pounds of milk during this fiscal year, your decision is simple. You should go sign up as soon as possible and take the default starting month. Sign up before May 17th.

If you plan to produce more than 2.4 million pounds of milk this fiscal year, you have to do a bit of decision making about which month you want to start taking payments. You will want to carefully choose which month you start receiving payments so that you get paid for those months with the highest MILCX payments. To help you with that decision, here are the MILCX payments and expected payments as of 3/31/2006, based on the futures market as of this time.
