Dairy Heifer Price Outlook

USDA's January 1 2006 inventory report showed a 1% increase in dairy cow numbers over 2005 levels.Total dairy replacement numbers are up 4% over January 2005 levels, but the number of replacement old enough to calve in 2006 is only up 3%.
