Milk production in the U.S. was estimated to be up 2.9% in April 2005 compared to April 2004, based upon 0.3% more cows and 2.6% more milk production per cow.

Milk production in the top 23 states was up 3.2% in April 2005 compared to April 2004, based upon 0.5% more cows and a 2.6% increase in milk production per cow.

In Missouri, milk production was down 5.3% in April 2005 compared to April 2004, based upon 4.0% fewer cows, and an decrease in milk production per cow of 1.5%.
