Milk production in the U.S. was estimated to be up 2.8% in March 2005 compared to March 2004, based upon 0.1% more cows and 2.7% more milk production per cow.

Milk production in the top 23 states was up 3.1% in March 2005 compared to March 2004, based upon 0.5% more cows and a 2.6% increase in milk production per cow.

In Missouri, milk production was down 1.2% in March 2005 compared to March 2004, based upon 3.3% fewer cows, and an increase in milk production per cow of 1.9%.
