Milk production in the U.S. was estimated to be up 1.0% in November 2004 compared to November 2003, based upon 0.3% more cows and 0.7% more milk production per cow.

Milk production in the top 20 states was up 1.2% in November 2004 compared to November 2003, based upon 0.6% more cows and a 0.6% increase in milk production per cow.

In Missouri, milk production was down 2.0% in November 2004 compared to November 2003 based upon 4.0% fewer cows, and an increase in milk production per cow of 2.1%.
