Aug. 14, 2003--Sign up is underway for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Livestock Assistance Program, a $250 million program to offset weather-related grazing losses that hit livestock producers in 2001 and 2002. Eligible livestock producers have until Oct. 24 to apply for benefits at their local Farm Service Agency county office or USDA Service Center.
