In the top 20 states, August milk production was up 3.8% over a year ago levels, based on 0.7% more cows and 3.2% more milk per cow.

In Missouri, August milk production was up 5.7% over a year ago levels, based upon 8,000 fewer but an whopping increase per cow of 11.8% over a year ago.
