Finding Dairy Livestock Sales on the Internet

Since Blansit Dairy Auction in Ozark closed, several people have called looking for other dairy livestock auction sites on the Internet. According to Mike David, Editor of the Missouri Department of Agriculture's Weekly Market Summary, by next week both the Norwood and the Mt. Grove Dairy Auctions will be listed the last Wednesday and the last Thursday of each month at the website: http://www.ams.usda.gov/lsg/mncs/ls_jc.htm

According to John Van Dyke, the Chief of the Livestock and Grain Market News at USDA, "We do not keep a list of the Dairy markets that are covered. Louisville, Madison, Moses Lake, Jefferson City,and Thomasville are some of the offices that have dairy reports. These reports are identified separately in the listing of the reports for each office. Other offices may have dairy information in the reports if there is any sold at the auctions."
