Pricing Standing Corn Silage

Drought and volatile corn prices have complicated the pricing of standing corn silage this year.  The spreadsheet below from Wisconsin may be helpful in establishing the "fair value" of standing corn silage for buyer or seller. The default value is set at 100 bushel per acre yield but by changing the input cell, you can tailor the estimate to your particular situation.  For those areas experiencing drought, the article below from Dr. Mike Hutjens explains the hazards and feeding value of stressed corn silage.
