Missouri Timber Price Trends
January - March, 2011
Timber Prices Fall
South-wide stumpage and
delivered prices for all major
timber products decreased in late
2010. Timber supply remained
adequate to meet demand. Dry
weather over much of the South
this quarter led to unusually good
fall logging conditions. The
recession restrained demand for
timber
The south-wide average mixed
hardwood and hardwood
pulpwood prices also. Although
mixed hardwood sawtimber fell
more than one dollar per ton, the
average remained above the same
period last year. Hardwood
pulpwood continued to retreat
from the dramatic peak in the 1st
Quarter of 2010
