Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 09/17/2018

   Demand moderate to good for this Special Prime Time Video Auction
at the Joplin Regional Stockyards.  The Video Sale was held following
Joplin's regular Monday feeder cattle sale.  The cattle offered are in
Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Alabama and Florida.
A six to eight cent slide or eighty right side on yearlings, and a ten
to twelve cent slide on calves.  A two to three percent pencil shrink
will apply.  Deliveries are current through February, 2019.  Supply
included 74 percent steers, 26 percent heifers, with 90 percent over
600 lbs.

Cattle Auction Report for 09/17/2018

   Compared to last week, 400-500 lb steer calves sold 3.00-6.00 higher 
with instances 10.00 higher, 500-750 lb steers traded steady to firm with 
600-650 lb steers selling instances 3.00 higher, over 750 lbs were not 
tested .  Feeder heifers under 450 lbs sold with a higher undertone, 450-
500 lbs sold firm to 3.00 higher with 600-700 lbs trading 3.00-6.00 
higher and 700-750 lbs selling with a higher undertone on light 
comparisons.  Slaughter cows sold steady to firm.  Demand was moderate to 
good with a nice offering (5 pot loads) of yearling heifers weighing 675-
740 lbs all selling with good demand on active bidding.  Slaughter cows 
accounted for near 13 percent of the total receipts.  Feeder supply 
consisted of 37 percent steers, 63 percent heifers and 60 percent 
weighing over 600 lbs.

 for the cattle trade.  Feeder cattle supply included 42 percent Steers, 2
 percent Dairy Steers, 45 percent Heifers, and  11 percent Bulls. Feeder
