moderate.  Near 17 percent of the receipts were replacement cows,
slaughter cows and bulls.  The feeder supply included 38 percent steers,
53 percent heifers, 10 percent bulls, with 31 percent over 600 lbs.

Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 2/4/2016

   Compared to last week, feeders sold uneven; steer calves
under 700 lbs traded steady to 5.00 lower, yearlings sold with
a steady to firm undertone on a few comparable sales. Heifer calves
sold steady to 8.00 higher except 500-550 lbs 2.00-5.00 lower,
yearlings not tested. Demand was moderate to good with a light to
moderate supply. Near 70 percent steers and bulls, 30 percent heifers
and 47 percent over 600 lbs. Cows and bulls made up 35 percent of
the run. Slaughter cows were firm to 1.00 higher.

   Supply was very good and demand was good. Sheep markets were 
steady to higher than last month while goat markets fell slightly 
lower. Supply included 13 percent slaughter Ewes and Rams, 32 percent 
slaughter lambs, 43 percent slaughter kids, and 10 percent Bucks and 
Does. All prices are per hundred weight (CWT) Unless noted otherwise.

   Compared to last week feeder steers and heifers steady. Slaughter cows 
steady to 2.00 higher. Quality was diminished from last week’s big run but with
several grass cattle on offer the market held up pretty well all day.
Temperatures turned cold again Wednesday, freezing the ground finally after 
several days of extremely muddy conditions. Supply and demand moderate.
The feeder supply consisted of 61 percent steers and 39 percent heifers; 
43 percent of all the feeder cattle weighed over 600 lbs.
