Ava- Douglas County Livestock Auction
Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 05/23/2013

Receipts: 715 Last Week: 960 Year Ago: n/a

Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves 1.00 to 3.00 lower. Not a
good test of yearlings last week for a market comparison. Demand and supply
moderate. A much higher percentage of feeder cattle over 600 lbs than in the
most recent sale. Receipts are starting to lighten up as the rain has passed
through the trade area and producers are busy baling hay. The feeder supply
included 45 percent steers, 53 percent heifers, 02 percent bulls, with 50
percent over 600 lbs.
