Feeder Cattle Auction for 11/05/09

   Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers steady to
2.00 higher.  Slaughter cows steady.  Demand moderate to good and
supply moderate.  Cows and bulls accounted for 10 percent of the run
and feeders 90 percent.  In the feeder supply, steers and bulls made
up approximately 58 percent of the run; heifers 42 percent; steers
and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 55 percent.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  400-500 lbs 105.00-115.50;
500-600 lbs 98.50-110.75; 600-700 lbs 97.75-102.00; Pkg 738 lbs 102.00;
Pot Load 823 lbs 97.85.

   Feeder Heifers:  Medium and Large 1-2  400-500 lbs 93.75-108.00;
500-600 lbs 85.00-93.00; 600-700 lbs 86.50-93.25.

   Compared to last weeks lighter test, feeders had a higher undertone.
Average feeder quality was more attractive than last week, with several
offerings of reputation feeders.  Supply consisted mostly of calves with
best demand for lighter steer and bull calves.  Slaughter cows
traded 1.00 to 2.00 lower on a good test of cows.  Cows and bulls were
14 percent of receipts.  In the feeder supply, steers and bulls were
57 percent of the run; heifers 43 percent.  Near 36 percent of feeders
weighed over 600 lbs.

   Feeder Steers:  Medium and Large 1  300-400 lbs 111.00-115.00; 400-
500 lbs 103.00-122.00; 500-600 lbs 95.75-108.00, fleshy 89.00; 600-
700 lbs 87.00-96.75 calves or fleshy 82.50-87.50; 700-800 lbs 87.00-
98.25.  Medium and Large 1-2  300-400 lbs 113.00; 400-500 lbs 111.00-
