Butler–Mo-Kan Livestock Auction
Feeder Cattle Report for 4/19/2018

Receipts: 664 Week Ago: 907 Year Ago: 1113

Compared to last week, few true comparisons of type and kind were offered
but a steady undertone was noted on the better quality cattle. A few fancy
consignments of new crop calves and some good quality thin yearlings were
offered that sold with good demand. The plainer cattle sold with moderate to
light demand on a light supply. Cattle futures took a dive on Thursday and
buyers were conservative. Supply was light. The feeder offering included near 54
percent steers and bulls and 46 percent heifers, with 44 percent over 600 lbs.
Cows and bulls totaled 18 percent of the offering. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00
lower.
