1.00 to 5.00 lower. Demand moderate, supply moderate. Feeder offerings around
38 percent steers, 1 percent Holsteins, 26 percent heifers and 6 percent bulls.
Offerings over 600 lbs 49 percent. Cows 29 percent. Slaughter cows steady to
2.00 higher.

   Compared to last week, best quality steers over 500 lbs sold 2.00 to 4.00
higher; other prices were uneven on an uneven test but with a lower undertone.
Supply moderate.  Demand good.  Cows and bulls were 19 percent of receipts.
In the feeder supply, steers and bulls were 67 percent of the run; heifers
33 percent.  Near 29 percent of feeders weighed over 600 lbs.  Slaughter cows
traded firm to 3.00 higher.

New Cambria - New Cambria Livestock Auction
Feeder Cattle Auction for 01/29/15

   Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers under 600 lbs
steady, with steers over 600 lbs 5.00-10.00 lower and too few heifers
over 600 lbs for a good test.  Slaughter cows steady.  The bulk of the
supply consisted of 500-750 lb steers with the lighter weights that
are destine for summer grazing the most popular.  Pressure continues
on the heavier weight, feedlot bound yearlings.  Weather so far this
year has been about as good as it gets for moving cattle.  Demand was
moderate to good and supply was light to moderate.  Cows and bulls
accounted for 6 percent of the run and feeders 94 percent.  In the
feeder supply, steers and bulls made up approximately 71 percent;
heifers 29 percent; steers and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around
49 percent.

Scheduling note:  The next feeder sale is Thursday, February 5.
