   Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold 2.00-7.00 higher.  
Slaughter cows sold 1.00 higher and few bulls sold 1.00 lower; Demand good and 
supply heavy.  Cows made up approximately 7 percent of the run, 93 percent 
feeders.  Steers made up approximately 53 percent of the offering, 40 percent 
heifers with 7 percent feeder bulls.  Offerings over 600 lbs totaled around 53 
percent.

   Compared to last Wednesday, slaughter cows sold 1.00-2.00 higher with
instances 3.00 higher and slaughter bulls sold fully steady. There was a
moderate supply of bred cows and a light supply of cow/calf pairs in the
offering. Supply was moderate and demand good for slaughter classes.
***Note: JRS will hold their monthly replacement cow sale this coming Saturday,
February 17th beginning at 12:00 noon and are expecting around 800 head.***

   Compared to the sale two weeks ago, feeder steers under 700 lbs 4.00-8.00
higher, over 700 lbs steady to 2.00 higher. Feeder heifers steady to 2.00
higher. Slaughter cows steady. Supply moderate. Near 7 percent of the offering
were cows and 57 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply 
approximately 55 percent steers and bulls and 45 percent heifers. Good quality
offering with best demand on steers under 675 lbs.

slaughter bulls trading 2.00-3.00 higher.  Demand was very good on a 
heavy supply.  The supply consisted of 42 percent slaughter cows, 19 
percent bred cows, 10 percent cow/calf pairs, 9 percent slaughter 
bulls, 5 percent stocker/feeder cows and 15 percent calves.

    ***CLOSE***Compared to last sale(two weeks ago), steers weighing 500-
 650 lbs and heifers weighing under 600 lbs were 8.00 to 12.00 higher.
 All other weight classes were 2.00 to 5.00 higher.  Demand good to very
 good for all classes of cattle.  The offering today consisted of mostly
 500-800 lb calves with many top quality cattle consignments.  Feeder
 cattle supply included 52 percent Steers, 1 percent Dairy Steers, 45
 percent Heifers, and  2 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs
 was 71 percent.

    Too few last week for a good price test, compared to two weeks ago,

 steady to 4.00 higher.  No recent test of Holsteins for a price
 comparison, undertone higher.  Demand good, supply moderate.  Feeder
 cattle supply included 39 percent Steers, 13 percent Dairy Steers, 43
 percent Heifers, and  5 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs
 was 57 percent.
