GM crops don’t provide any visual clues about their origins. The GM crops look
identical to and otherwise have properties identical to non-GM crops. The only way to
know something about the identity of these crops is to perform one of several tests
designed to identify either the specific genetic material or certain proteins found only in
the modified organism.
