Weaver's In Studio She is currently planning to reproduce 150-year-old coverlets found in Historic Bethel German Colony where she lives with her dogs, cats, birds and looms. She also participates in various shows in the midwest and is an invited and paid demonstrator during the October-long Heritage Crafts Festival at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Nancy specializes in textiles for the home including kitchen and bath linens, throws and blankets as well as apparel such as scarves, shawls, vests, baby and activity bibs and outerwear. Handwoven tea towels are of 100% cotton, approximately 15" x 23", contemporary design but based on towels woven for centuries. They are wonderfully absorbent, soften with age and stand up to heavy use and frequent laundering for years (my own first woven ones are now 12 years old!) Available in natural (unbleached, unmercerized) cotton with an infinite variety of color stripes as well as other color combinations including holiday colors. Price: $12 including S&H
Bibs are 100% cotton, approximately 8" x 10" in size and very sturdy. They may be ordered in solids or plaids and in larger sizes. Also available are activity bibs which are oversized to accomodate messes and have pockets at the bottom to hold crayons, pencils, chalk, etc. Price: Bibs $12, Activity Bibs $15. Both prices include S & H. Shawls are available in a large variety of fibers (wool, mohair, llama/alpace, cotton, rayon, silk and novelty and manmade fiber yarns) and colors as well as sizes and weights. Call for availability or to discuss a commission. Price: $85 - $200 Cocoon/Ruana Wraps are large rectangles of handwoven cloth folded and sewn to produce sleeves and a flattering drape. They are available in a large assortment of colors, yarns, weights and lengths. Call for availability or special orders.
