- Higher application rate
- Good for prolonged drought.
- Bad if irrigation just before heavy rainfall, or years with high rainfall during flowering.
Center Pivot or Sprinkler
- Lower application rate
- Best with a “wet” summer - supplements natural rainfall.
- Can’t meet ET with an extended drought.
